One problem though…each serving has 756 calories and 47 grams of fat! Good news though. My skinny remake has all the same great flavors and tastes really, really good! Each serving has 264 calories, 9 grams fat and 8 weight watchers smartpoints.
You will need:
6 bacon slices.
¼ cup of regular mustard.
⅓ cpu of honey.
2 tbsps of mayonnaise.
2 tsps of dried onion flakes.
1 cup of sliced fresh mushroom.
2 cups of shredded colby/jack cheese.
how to make:
rub the seasoning salt on the chicken breasts and refrigerate them covered for 30 minutes.
while refrigerating, cook the bacon in a large skillet until brown and crispy then remove it leaving the grease in the skillet.
sauté the chicken in the grease for 3 to 5 minutes per side and arrange the breasts in a 9×13 casserole dish.
in a small bowl, mix together the mustard, honey, mayonnaise and dried onion flakes then pour some mustard over each breast. Add a layer of mushrooms, crumbled bacon and shredded cheese.
in a preheated oven to 350° bake for 30 minutes.
top with the rest of honey mustard sauce and voila!
easy, peasy and cheesy! The bacon grease gives a wonderful flavor to the chicken. It absorbs all the deliciousness of bacon. Give it a shot, you will see how good this is!
